- Valid for at least 6 months after the planned date of entry into Germany
- Photocopy of page 2 of the passport
Long-stay visa application form (VIDEX)
- Completed and signed in two copies
- Available on: tunis.diplo.de
3 recent biometric ID photos
- Format compliant with biometric standards
University admission certificate
Unconditional or conditional admission
With proof of language:
Allemand : DSH, TestDaF
Anglais : TOEFL, IELTS
Curriculum vitæ (CV)
- Sometimes accompanied by an explanatory letter depending on the academic background
Language level certificate
Mandatory for a preparatory “language course” visa
Cover letter
- Clearly presenting your study objectives in Germany

Explanatory letters for periods of inactivity

Baccalaureate diploma (or higher)
Legalized by the competent ministries in Tunisia

Certificate of private health insurance
- Covering the period before registration or start of courses
Proof of financing (minimum €11,904 per year, or €992/month)
- Blocked account in Germany (Sperrkonto), or
- Commitment to support (Verpflichtungserklärung) by a person residing in Germany (§§ 66–68 Aufenthaltsgesetz)
